Application:
Propylene glycol monobutyl ether: mainly used as a heavy scale cleaner. It can dissolve and couple oils and fats extremely well, making it suitable for both household and industrial formulations. Partially water-soluble, can solubilize most solvents. The specific applications are as follows: ① Coupling agents and solvents for household and industrial cleaning agents, grease and paint removers, metal cleaning agents, and hard surface cleaning agents; ② Effective coupling agents and solvents for water reducing coatings; ③ Effective setting agent for water-based latex coatings; ④ Active solvents for solvent based coatings; ⑤ Chemical intermediates for the production of esters, solvents, and plasticizers.
Dipropylene glycol monobutyl ether:
Coatings: Can be used as coagulants for acrylic resins, styrene acrylic resins, and polyvinyl acetate, endowing paint films with excellent properties. It is one of the most effective film-forming aids for many water-based coatings.
Cleaning agent: Suitable for use in cleaning agents, especially in systems that require extremely low volatilization rates, such as wax removers and floor cleaners. It is a good coupling agent for lubricating grease and oil, and can be used as a paint remover and animal oil remover.
